Wrexham
Kaleidoscopic will take place at Glyndŵr University located on the edge of Wrexham, between 9th – 11th September 2010.
Wrexham is often referred to as the capital of North Wales. The modern town of is nestled in the lower Dee Valley and is surrounded by stunning panoramas and glorious countryside. The vibrant town centre combines older traditional shops with famous high street names, a wide selection of restaurants, bars, pubs and clubs as well as a multiplex cinema.
Wrexham has become a Mecca for sport and culture, with its museums, arts programmes, theatre and media quarter and stadia for international sporting events. A variety of concerts are performed at the William Aston Hall whilst Wrexham Arts Centre, Yale Memorial Gallery and the Gallery 103 provide year-round exhibitions offering the best in contemporary visual art and craft in Wales. The tradition of Welsh culture is promoted through the newly refurbished Theatr Stiwt in Rhos, which hosts a wide variety of musical and theatrical events.
Many literary, tv and film stars have hailed from Wrexham and the North East of Wales. These include actor and comedian Ricky Tomlinson, Hollywood big screen actor and star of stage and British TV productions Jonathan Pryce, Welsh language actress Myfanwy Talog Williams, one sixth of Monty Python and director of films such as ‘Life of Brian’ Terry Jones, former James Bond Timothy Dalton, Welsh writer famous for novels such as ‘Rhys Lewis’ and ‘Enoc Huws’ Daniel Owen, playwright famous for works such as ‘Night Must Fall’ and ‘The Corn Is Green’ Emlyn Williams as well as one of the best known Welsh prose writers Kate Roberts.

Travel by road
Exit Junction 15 off the M56 where it joins the M53 to Chester/Wrexham. From the M53, continue along the A55, and take the exit signposted A483 Wrexham. Glyndŵr University is located off Junction 5 of the A483 signposted Wrexham/Mold.

When travelling to Wrexham by train your nearest railway stations are:
• Wrexham General: 5 minute walk to Glyndŵr University
• Wrexham Central: 10 minute walk to Glyndŵr University
• Chester: about 20 minutes away by car/taxi

Travel by air
Glyndŵr University is only a 45 minute car/taxi journey away from both Manchester International and Liverpool airports.
Routes to Glyndŵr University by road from Liverpool Airport
Follow directions from the airport for the M56. Join the M56 motorway (signposted North Wales, Chester). Leave the M56 at junction 15 (signposted Chester, Wrexham), then join the M53 motorway. Continue forward onto the A55 (signposted North Wales, Wrexham). Entering Chester, branch left, then at Wrexham Road Interchange roundabout take the 1st exit onto the A483 (signposted Wrexham). At the roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A483 (signposted Wrexham). Branch left, then at roundabout take the 1st exit onto Mold Road – A541 (signposted Wrexham). The Glyndŵr University campus will be visible on the left hand side.

Join the M56 motorway (signposted M56 Motorway) on the outskirts of the airport. Branch left (signposted Chester) to join main motorway. By Taxi
